In honor of our nation’s military veterans, Amtrak is offering 20 percent off travel to veterans and active military personnel. Through Tuesday, November 13, all veterans and active military personnel can purchase discounted tickets on Amtrak.com. The sale is valid for travel between November 27 and May 31, 2019. For savings, use promo code “V111” and select passenger type “F” when purchasing. There are no blackout dates.
Veterans and active military can book now to save 20 percent for travel nationwide.
Although this discount is intended for veterans and active duty military personnel, the everyday 10% Military discount can still be booked for spouses and dependents on the same itinerary when proper traveler information is applied. One child can even ride for 50% off per adult.
How to Get the Discount
The 20% discount will automatically apply to qualifying travel when using the search tool below and selecting “Adult” as the Traveler Information. To obtain the 10% Military discount, be sure to select “Military Adult” as the Traveler Information.
Sale prices are available exclusively for coach travel on all services with the exception of Acela Express and 7000-8999 Thruways. Fares are for one way (adult) and no additional discounts apply. Other restrictions may apply.
