The trains first called Denver’s Union Station in 1881 and have served the Beaux-Arts station ever since. The current structure opened in 1914 after the original structure burnt down. If the walls could talk, the station has plenty of stories to tell. Today, Union Station serves as a transportation hub for Denver offering access to multiple bus and light rail routes. Amtrak’s California Zephyr (San Francisco-Salt Lake City-Denver-Chicago) also calls at Union Station.
Located in the heart of the LoDo District (Lower Downtown), the renovated station is home to multiple restaurants and bars, boutique shops, and the 112-room Crawford Hotel.
