For more than 160 years, the California State Fair has showcased the best of the Golden State. During the 17 best days of summer, fairgoers can experience delicious food, learn about California agriculture, taste the winners of olive oil, cheese, wine, and beer competitions, witness live horse racing, and have fun on the Midway Carnival. The California State Fair has a fun experience waiting for everyone.
The California State Fair, which takes place in Sacramento, CA at Cal Expo runs through July 24, 2016. Hours vary each day, but are generally 10:00 a.m. (weekends) and 11:00 a.m. (weekdays) to 10:00 p.m. or midnight. General admission for adults is $12.00, seniors $10.00 and children $8.00. Special admission bundles are available as well. Parking is $10.00 per vehicle.
As with most fairs, the California State Fair offers a wide variety of entertainment, attractions, exhibits and numerous food options. The Toyota Stage includes entertainment from the Plain White T’s, Chaka Khan, The Pointer Sisters and many more.
Cal Expo is located east of downtown Sacramento at 1600 Exposition Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95815. Cal Expo is also served by Sacramento Regional Transit bus routes 67 and 68.
