Awaking Beauty: The Art of Eyvind Earle at the Walt Disney Family Museum

The Walt Disney Family Museum’s 18th original exhibition, Awaking Beauty: The Art of Eyvind Earle, showcases the life and work of the lead stylist for Walt Disney’s classic feature Sleeping Beauty (1959). This first-ever comprehensive museum retrospective features more than 250 works by Eyvind Earle (1916-2000), including evocative large-scale concept artworks for Sleeping Beauty and intricate thumbnail concept paintings for Lady and the Tramp (1955).

A Disneyland Classic Returns Home January 20

The Main Street Electrical Parade, one of the most popular of all Disney parades, returns to Disneyland Park Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, with all the lights, sounds, music and fun that have made it a beloved icon. This encore performance at Disneyland park will run nightly until June 18 – 45 years after it first lit up Main Street, U.S.A., in 1972! During this limited-time celebration, guests will also enjoy special merchandise and food offerings inspired by the Main Street Electrical Parade.

Happy 61st Birthday Disneyland

Happy Anniversary Disneyland: An Icon Turns 60.

As the evening hours set upon Disneyland, thousands of guests continue to celebrate the park’s 60th anniversary, many of them arriving in the early hours of the day.  On July 17, 1955, when Disneyland opened, Walt Disney welcomed the first guests by saying, “To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land.”  For the last 60 years, guests of all ages have enjoyed “The Happiest Place on Earth,” in fact, over 700 million guests have visited Disneyland since it first opened.
