JetBlue Adds New Choices Connecting California and Florida

JetBlue announced it is continuing to boost its transcontinental flight network with a new route and more Mint flights. First, the airline will add new nonstop flights between Orlando and Los Angeles. Additionally, seats on previously announced Mint flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and San Francisco are now on sale.

Amtrak Opens New Premium Lounge in Chicago

Amtrak has more than doubled the space and added many new amenities at Chicago Union Station for customers who are traveling in Sleeping cars or in Business class, as well as Select Plus and Select Executive Amtrak Guest Rewards members, with this morning’s opening of a new “Metropolitan Lounge.”

Located behind and above one of the two grand staircases off the Great Hall, the lounge has two entrances. The primary access is located inside the station between the Great Hall and the Concourse, with a red carpet exterior entrance near the taxi stand on the west side of Canal Street. With New Mint Routes, JetBlue Will Expand Its Refreshing Take on Premium Travel From East to West

JetBlue announced an expansion of its popular Mint premium experience on transcontinental routes, seizing an opportunity to introduce competition in east and west coast markets where customers are faced with a decreasing number of choices and where other carriers sell dated business class options at a high cost.

The next tranche of routes will bring Mint to four cities for the first time – Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, San Diego and Seattle – while also increasing customer options from New York (JFK), Boston, Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco. Amtrak Adds Premium Business Class to More Long-Distance Routes

After a highly successful debut on the Coast Starlight, a route traveling between Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle, Amtrak has introduced premium Business Class seating on two more long-distance routes, the Auto Train and Cardinal. The Auto Train, an overnight, non-stop, bring-your-car-along route, between the Washington, DC area and Orlando area and the Cardinal between New York and Chicago via Indianapolis and Cincinnati now offer Business Class in addition to First Class Sleeping accommodations and reserved Coach Class.
