Amtrak Adds Two New Trains between LA and San Diego

Starting today, Amtrak Pacific Surfliner passengers will enjoy even more travel options thanks to the addition of two new daily trains – an early-morning train from San Diego to Los Angeles and an evening train from Los Angeles to San Diego.

The new northbound Pacific Surfliner will depart San Diego at 4:00 a.m. on weekdays and 4:40 a.m. on weekends, arriving in Los Angeles at 7:03 a.m. on weekdays and 7:30 a.m. on weekends. Alaska Airlines Unveils First Major Brand Change in 25 Years

Alaska Airlines today unveiled its first major brand change in 25 years to a crowd of about 1,800 employees. The refreshed brand was introduced on a newly painted Boeing 737-800 and soon will be featured throughout the airport experience, on all digital channels, in marketing materials and across Alaska’s entire fleet.

New Airline Landing in Orlando, Florida

It looks as if there will be a new airline flying in Florida.  Florida Express Jet has announced that starting March 20, 2014, they will be offering nonstop service from Orlando to both Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee with fares starting at just $69.00.  Connecting service between Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee via Orlando will also be available with fares starting at $99.00.  The airline announced this week that reservations are now open and can be purchase through their website.

Delta Brings More Options to the West Coast

In an effort to expand their network and offer passengers more connections to more flights, Delta is continuing to add additional flights and routes to many west coast destinations.

At the end of summer, Delta launched hourly Delta Shuttle service between Los Angeles and San Francisco.  The new service mimics Delta’s popular Shuttle service in the Northeast between New York, Boston, Washington, DC and Chicago.
