JetBlue announced it is progressing with its Mint transcontinental expansion plan with the on-sale of new routes, introducing competition in east and west coast markets where customers are faced with decreasing choices and where other carriers sell dated business class options at a high cost.

In June, Southwest inaugurated service at Long Beach Airport, the carrier’s 98th destination service and now offers service in all five major commercial airports in the L.A. basin. Southwest’s first route out of Long Beach was to Oakland and now, on top of much success, Southwest is adding a second route in September.
Beginning September 18, Southwest will start flying to Las Vegas from Long Beach with three daily flights in each direction. Flights are now on sale and fares start as low as $39.00 one-way.
