Delta Adds 7 New Destinations from Seattle

Delta is adding seven nonstop destinations from Seattle, making 2017 its fifth consecutive year of growth at its Pacific Northwest hub. The new destinations include: Austin, Texas; Eugene, Oregon; Lihue, Hawaii; Milwaukee, Wisc.; Nashville, Tenn.; Raleigh, N.C.; and Redmond, Oregon.

With these additions, Delta will offer 160 peak-day flights to 49 destinations – including 16 of the top 20 destinations – from its Seattle hub this summer. Delta and JetBlue Add Multiple Flights and Destinations from Boston

Both Delta Air Lines and JetBlue Airways have announced they are expanding their flight offerings from Boston in the coming months.  JetBlue announced plans to grow its Boston focus city by more than 40 percent to 200 peak day departures, including the launch of its 63rd nonstop destination, Atlanta.  Delta is expanding in Boston with new service to San Francisco and Nashville, as well as more flights to Seattle and Milwaukee. By June 2017, Delta will have added more than 22 percent more seat capacity versus June 2014.

U.S. Department of Transportation Announces Final Selection of U.S. Airlines and Cities for New Service to Havana

Traveling to Havana, Cuba is soon expected to become much easier with the recent announcement made by the U.S Department of Transportation (DOT).  As part of the Obama Administration’s historic effort to normalize relations with Cuba, the DOT proposed to select eight U.S. airlines to begin scheduled flights between Atlanta, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York City, Orlando, and Tampa and Havana as early as this fall.  The proposal came nearly one year after the United States and Cuba reestablished diplomatic relations in July 2015 and today, the [...]
