Alaska Airlines announces new service between Orange County, California and Albuquerque

Alaska Airlines will begin daily, nonstop-service from Orange County’s John Wayne Airport to Albuquerque starting Aug. 18.

“We are pleased to bring low fares and another new nonstop destination to our guests in Southern California,” said John Kirby, Alaska’s vice president of capacity planning. “With this addition, Alaska will offer 21 peak, daily departures to nine destinations from John Wayne Airport, including Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.”

Lucas Museum Plans to Build in Los Angeles

For quite some time, the question has been asked, Los Angeles or San Francisco for the home of George Lucas’ $1 billion Museum of Narrative Art?  On Tuesday, the board of directors announced their decision to build the museum in Los Angeles.

Restaurant Week is a 14-day dining event that starts January 13 and runs through January 27.  The annual event includes over 300 restaurants throughout L.A. county this year. Participating restaurants are offering a special menu for lunch and/or dinner.  Lunch (2+ Courses): $15, $20, $25 and Dinner (3+ Courses): $29, $39, $49, $95+ (dineL.A.
