American Airlines launched new, daily seasonal nonstop service between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) and between Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN). The new summer service complements year-round service to Rome, Amsterdam and Barcelona from other American hubs and will run through September 30, 2017.

‘The Big Easy’ will soon be easier to reach than ever before with British Airways’ new route to New Orleans. Starting March 26, 2017 British Airways will launch a four times a week service from London’s Heathrow and will be the only airline flying direct between Europe and the Louisiana city.

American Airlines continues to add state-of-the-art aircraft to its’ fleet and the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner is no exception. American has been flying the smaller version, the 787-8 and announced this week that the airlines’ new, larger 787-9 will be flying routes this November.

United Airlines announced that it will introduce daily nonstop flights between its San Francisco International Airport hub and Singapore’s Changi Airport, effective June 1, 2016 (westbound), subject to government approval. United will be the first airline to offer nonstop service between San Francisco and Singapore, and this will be the only nonstop service to the U.S. from Singapore.
