1915 Model T Ford Repeats History

Newseum Offers Free Admission for Kids This Summer

Summer in Washington, DC just got even better with the Newseum’s Summer Fun Deal. Children 18 years and younger get free admission to the museum of news through Labor Day weekend.

With the purchase of at least one general adult ($22.95 plus tax) or senior ($18.95 plus tax) admission ticket, up to four kids get in for free (regular youth admission is $13.95 plus tax). Smithsonian Innovation Wing Opens at National Museum of American History

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History opened its Innovation Wing this week with a celebration to inaugurate the 45,000-square-foot space featuring 12 exhibitions, learning galleries and program places all centered on the themes of invention, creativity and business.

Smithsonian Brings History Sizzling to Life

Today, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History will unveil a demonstration kitchen in the Wallace H. Coulter Performance Plaza with the debut of “Food Fridays,” a cooking program in the museum’s Innovation Wing. The first of its kind at the Smithsonian, this working kitchen will connect food programming to the ideas of invention and innovation presented there.
