Alaska Airlines to Introduce a New Premium Class Section

Beginning in late 2016, Alaska Airlines announced last week, new plans to roll-out a Premium Class section. The new upgrade option will provide more legroom and other perks to customers.

Customers who upgrade to Premium Class will get priority boarding and enjoy three to four inches more legroom compared with a standard coach seat. In addition, Alaska Airlines plans to offer additional amenities to further enhance the Premium Class in-flight experience. Air Canada Unveils Major Expansion to 12 U.S. Destinations

Air Canada announced new non-stop services between four key Canadian hubs and 12 U.S. cities beginning next summer. The new transborder routes will introduce new destinations, such as Toronto–Washington-Dulles, Toronto–Salt Lake City and Vancouver–San Jose, while also creating new city-pair routings, such as Vancouver–Chicago, Montreal–Houston, Montreal–Denver and Calgary–San Francisco. When Hawaiian Airlines rejuvenated the cabin of its Boeing B717 aircraft earlier this year with modern, lightweight seats, the carrier was left with a puzzling dilemma: What to do with the old seats?
