Newseum Offers Free Admission for Kids This Summer

Summer in Washington, DC just got even better with the Newseum’s Summer Fun Deal. Children 18 years and younger get free admission to the museum of news through Labor Day weekend.

With the purchase of at least one general adult ($22.95 plus tax) or senior ($18.95 plus tax) admission ticket, up to four kids get in for free (regular youth admission is $13.95 plus tax). And just like all Newseum tickets, Summer Fun Deal tickets are valid for two consecutive days, making it the perfect summer outing for the whole family. Tickets will now be available both at the museum ticket counter and online.

The dynamic, engaging and interactive Newseum allows visitors to experience the stories of yesterday and today through the eyes of the media while celebrating the freedoms guaranteed to all Americans by the First Amendment.

A variety of exhibits are on display that include original newspaper front pages dating back to the 1500s, current-day newspaper front pages from around the world and the NBC News Interactive Newsroom.  The Newseum also features a fantastic food court on the lower level and an outside deck offering expansive views of Washington, DC.
