There’s nothing like gathering together in an open public space and watching a full-length feature film. On Friday evenings in July and August, you can do just that in Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square, with Flicks on the Bricks presented by SmartPark. The Square will be turned transformed into Portland’s largest outdoor movie theater for the entire community to enjoy! The series kicks-off on July 22 and runs through August 19 on Friday evenings accompanied by live pre-movie entertainment provided by Portland’s 101.9 Kink. The music starts off at 7:00 p.m. and the movie follows at dusk. Admission is completely free and movie-goers are encouraged to make the Square their “Living Room” by bringing pillows, cushions, bean bags or low back chairs.
July 22 – Big (PG); entertainment by There is No Mountain
July 29 – Aladdin (G); entertainment by Common, Dear
August 5 – The NeverEnding Story (PG); entertainment by Katelyn Convery

Flicks on the Bricks attendees will also have the chance to sit in “The Best Seat in the Square” furnished by IKEA Portland! The prize will include comfortable premiere movie seating on a sofa, chair and coffee table along with treats to enjoy throughout the movie. Attendees can enter to win on the day of each movie at the 101.9 Kink and IKEA booths on the Square before the movie begins. Winners will be announced by 101.9 Kink prior to the start of each movie.
Plus, you don’t need a car or worry about parking when heading to see Flicks on the Bricks as Portland’s TriMet light rail lines and bus routes provide convenient options directly to the Square. For complete details, visit Portland’s Courthouse Square.
